The interview process
Described in candidates’ own words.
“Worst candidate experience ever!!! I’ve now interviewed twice with Microsoft’s AI recruiting team, and both times have been really disappointing. • First time: The recruiter totally ghosted me after the screening call, ignored several follow-ups, and only came back like eight weeks later with a rejection. • Second time: The interviewer seemed clearly disengaged the whole call, and it took the team an entire month to get back with a decision. This pattern really shows a lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort. The whole thing felt disorganized, unprofessional, and honestly kind of lazy. After going through this twice, I wouldn’t consider interviewing with Microsoft AI again.”Candidate-reported process
“the interview process was quite long but interesting. would definitely recommend it for the experience. make sure you prepare before you go in and have your questions ready. interviewer was nice and accommodating”Candidate-reported process
“Excellent, short and straight to the point. Really well balanced interview questions, both functional and behavioural. Nothing designed to catch a person out. The interviewer was lovely and shared a lot about the team structure.”Candidate-reported processMore reports lockedRead 300+ more interview experiences
