The interview process
Described in candidates’ own words.
“Had several interviews then a panel. Was asked to deliver a product project which wasn't even looked at. I usually never do projects, presentations or tests. I included a detailed product video presentation of a new digital product on the market. I developed a full UX/UI website and mobile app concept. In the panel interview the kept asking if I had retail experience? I believe they pull folks right out of the perfume department and put them into Product Management. I will never apply at Macy's again.”Candidate-reported process
“It was a really fast process. After HR reached out, they scheduled a pre-screen with someone at my level. If that went well, I had an interview with the hiring manager. The final step was meeting with HR again when they extended the offer.”Candidate-reported process
“This was one of the worst interview processes I've experienced, I'd recommend avoiding it. The company seems to be declining. I went through two calls and a case study before withdrawing due to another offer. The hiring manager call was standard. However, it felt like they were seeking free consulting and ideas, as their strategy and direction seemed unclear and fragmented, yet they expected me to be intimately familiar with it.”Candidate-reported processMore reports lockedRead 300+ more interview experiences
