“A panelist joined and told me to write code using Notepad instead of an IDE. She then started asking Java questions and gave three different coding problems to be solved in that same format. The expectation seemed to be memorization of Java Stream APIs and syntax rather than actual problem-solving or real-world development practices. This felt very impractical, since modern development depends a lot on IDEs for productivity, readability, and correctness.
